CollegeShastra is an independent education information platform created to help students make better decisions about colleges, courses, entrance exams, admissions, counselling, cutoffs, results, and careers.
The Indian education ecosystem can be difficult to navigate. Students often have to move between official notifications, university websites, counselling portals, college pages, and multiple education websites just to understand one admission process.
CollegeShastra aims to make that information easier to understand.
Our goal is simple:
Making Education Choices Simpler.
We focus on presenting education information in a clear, structured, student-friendly format so that readers can understand not only what has happened, but also what they should do next.
What We Cover
CollegeShastra publishes information and updates across areas such as:
- Entrance exams
- College and university admissions
- Counselling and seat allotment
- Exam results
- Cutoffs and qualifying criteria
- College and university updates
- College and university fees
- College and university placements
- Courses and career options
- Scholarships
- Education news
- Important deadlines and notifications
As the platform grows, CollegeShastra also plans to develop structured information and tools that can help students research, compare, and evaluate colleges and courses more effectively.
Our Editorial Approach
Accuracy is especially important in education because incorrect information about an exam date, counselling deadline, eligibility requirement, or admission process can directly affect a student’s decision.
For important factual information, we aim to rely primarily on authoritative and official sources such as:
- Examination authorities
- Universities and colleges
- Counselling bodies
- Government education departments
- Regulatory authorities
- Official notifications and information brochures
Our articles are designed to provide context alongside facts.
Where possible, we explain:
- What has changed
- Who is affected
- Important dates
- What students need to do
- What happens next
- Where students can verify the information officially

Who Is Behind CollegeShastra?
CollegeShastra was founded by Himanshu Yadav, an education and EdTech professional with more than five years of experience in the higher education information ecosystem.
Himanshu has worked with education platforms including Collegedunia, GetMyUni, and CollegeDekho, gaining experience across student-focused education content, college and course research, entrance exams, admissions, counselling, cutoffs, placements, and higher education information.
His experience working closely with education content has highlighted a recurring problem: students have access to an enormous amount of information online, but finding accurate, current, and actionable information can still be difficult.
CollegeShastra was created with the aim of addressing that problem.
“Students do not just need more information. They need information they can understand, verify, and use to make better decisions.”
Our Commitment to Students
CollegeShastra aims to follow a few basic principles:
Accuracy over speed
Being early is valuable, but publishing correct information is more important.
Primary sources wherever possible
Important dates, eligibility rules, fees, counselling processes, and admission information should be checked against authoritative sources.
Clear explanations
Complex notifications should be translated into information that students can easily understand.
Student-first usefulness
Articles should answer the questions students actually have rather than exist solely to attract search traffic.
Transparency
We aim to clearly distinguish factual information, analysis, estimates, sponsored content, and commercial partnerships where applicable.
Continuous updates
Education information changes frequently. Important pages may be updated when new official information becomes available.
Use of AI and Technology
CollegeShastra may use artificial intelligence and other technology-assisted tools to support activities such as:
- Research organization
- Content outlining
- Draft preparation
- Data processing
- Grammar and readability improvements
- Topic discovery
- Content analysis
However, AI tools are not intended to replace editorial judgment.
Important factual information should be reviewed against reliable or official sources before publication.
Our objective is to use technology to make the editorial process more efficient while maintaining accuracy, transparency, and usefulness for readers.
Editorial Independence
CollegeShastra may eventually work with colleges, universities, education companies, advertisers, or other partners.
Commercial relationships should not determine the factual conclusions of our editorial content.
Sponsored or promotional material will be identified appropriately where applicable.
CollegeShastra is an independent education information platform and is not an official representative of any examination authority, university, college, counselling body, or government organization unless explicitly stated.
