The CAT 2026 login is available to candidates who have successfully completed the initial registration process and generated their CAT User ID and password. As of September 8, CAT 2026 registration remains active, with the application window scheduled to close on September 15, 2026, at 5 PM.

Candidates can use the Registered Candidate Login to complete the application form, check application details and access the grievance portal. The same CAT credentials should be kept safely for later stages of the examination cycle.

CAT 2026 Candidate Login Direct Link

Candidates should preferably access the login through the official CAT website:

Official CAT website: iimcat.ac.in

Direct CAT 2026 Candidate Login: Open CAT 2026 Candidate Login

The CAT login page requires:

  • CAT 2026 User ID
  • Password
  • CAPTCHA/security code

The direct candidate-login URL is currently associated with the official CAT 2026 application system.

How to Login to CAT 2026 Portal

Registered candidates can access their CAT dashboard using the following process:

  1. Visit iimcat.ac.in.
  2. Locate Registered Candidate Login.
  3. Click Login.
  4. Enter your CAT 2026 User ID.
  5. Enter your password.
  6. Enter the CAPTCHA displayed on the screen.
  7. Click Login.
  8. The Applicant Details page will open.
  9. Click Go to Application to open the CAT application form.

The CAT 2026 Registration Guide states that candidates receive system-generated login credentials after completing initial registration and OTP verification.

Where Do You Get the CAT 2026 User ID and Password?

During CAT 2026 registration, domestic candidates must verify both their email address and mobile number using OTP.

After successful verification, the system sends the generated User ID and password to the candidate’s registered contact details.

For overseas candidates, OTP verification and credentials are handled through the registered email address.

Candidates should preserve the email and SMS containing their CAT credentials until the complete CAT admission cycle is over.

Forgot CAT 2026 User ID or Password?

If you have forgotten either your CAT User ID or password, you do not need to register again simply to recover the credentials.

Use the recovery facility available on the candidate login page.

How to Recover CAT 2026 User ID and Password

  1. Open the CAT 2026 Registered Candidate Login.
  2. Click Forgot User ID/Password.
  3. Enter the email address used during CAT registration.
  4. Enter the displayed CAPTCHA.
  5. Submit the recovery request.
  6. Check your registered email address.
  7. Use the credentials received to log in again.

According to the CAT 2026 Registration Guide, the recovered User ID and password are sent to the registered email address.

CAT 2026 Login Problems and Solutions

Candidates may face login errors because of incorrect credentials, multiple passwords, CAPTCHA errors or temporary browser/portal issues.

CAT Login Says User ID or Password is Incorrect

First check:

  • whether you are entering your CAT 2026 credentials;
  • whether there are extra spaces while copying the User ID or password;
  • whether the password is being entered with the correct uppercase/lowercase characters; and
  • whether you have requested a newer password recently.

If the credentials still do not work, use Forgot User ID/Password instead of repeatedly guessing the password.

Received Multiple CAT Passwords: Which One Should You Use?

If multiple passwords have been generated, use the most recently issued password.

If you are unsure which password is current, use the Forgot User ID/Password option again and then log in using the newest credentials received.

This is also consistent with the login guidance used for CAT candidate access.

CAT 2026 CAPTCHA Not Working

If the CAPTCHA is rejected:

  • re-enter the characters carefully;
  • refresh the CAPTCHA and use the newly displayed code;
  • avoid copying spaces before or after the code; and
  • reload the login page if the CAPTCHA has expired.

Do not repeatedly submit an old CAPTCHA after refreshing the page.

CAT Login Page is Not Opening

If the login page is temporarily not loading:

  • reload the page;
  • check the internet connection;
  • try another supported browser such as Chrome, Firefox or Edge;
  • clear browser cache/cookies if the page behaves incorrectly;
  • try again after some time if the portal is experiencing heavy traffic.

These are general troubleshooting steps rather than a change to CAT rules. The CAT application environment supports mainstream browsers, and temporary connectivity/browser issues can affect portal access.

CAT Login Opens but Application Form Does Not

After successful login, candidates should reach the Applicant Details page.

Look for the Go to Application button.

Clicking it opens the CAT application form, where candidates can continue completing the remaining sections.

Can You Complete the CAT Form in Multiple Login Sessions?

Yes. Candidates do not have to complete the CAT application form in one sitting. The CAT 2026 Registration Guide allows applicants to save their progress, log out and return later to continue the application before final submission. However, candidates should use Save & Next while completing sections so that entered information is saved properly.

What Can You Access Through CAT 2026 Login?

The CAT candidate dashboard is the central account for registered candidates. Depending on the stage of the CAT cycle, it can be used for functions such as:

CAT Login FunctionCurrent/Expected Use
Complete CAT applicationAvailable now
View applicant detailsAvailable now
Make/verify paymentDuring application
View submitted applicationAfter submission
Raise grievanceAvailable to registered candidates
Download CAT admit cardWhen released
Access response sheet/answer keyAfter exam, when released
Download CAT scorecardAfter result

Candidates should therefore not delete or lose their login credentials after submitting the application.

CAT 2026 Login for Application Form

Once logged in, candidates can access the six major sections of the CAT application:

  • Personal Details
  • Academics
  • Work Experience
  • Programmes
  • Test City
  • Declaration and Payment

For the complete form-filling workflow, use our How to Fill CAT 2026 Application Form: Step-by-Step Registration Guide.

Candidates who have not yet registered should also check the CAT 2026 Registration Last Date page before beginning the application.

CAT Login After Application Submission

Once payment is completed and the CAT application is finally submitted, candidates should carefully check their submitted application.

The CAT 2026 Registration Guide states that after final payment and submission, candidates cannot normally edit the submitted application form through the standard login workflow; they can view and print it.

Therefore, preview all details before making the final submission.

Any officially announced correction facility should be treated separately and used only according to the fields and dates specified by CAT authorities.

CAT Login Payment Successful but Application Not Confirmed

If money has been deducted but the CAT dashboard does not show a successful application/payment status:

  • do not immediately make repeated payments;
  • log in and check the latest transaction/application status;
  • allow time for payment reconciliation;
  • use the CAT Grievance Portal if the issue remains unresolved.

The CAT grievance system is available to registered candidates through the login dashboard for queries relating to:

  • registration;
  • application processing;
  • payment processing; and
  • document uploading.

The official registration-guide instructions say candidates should allow at least two working days for a grievance response.

How to Raise a CAT 2026 Login or Application Grievance

If the issue cannot be resolved through credential recovery:

  1. Log in to the CAT candidate dashboard.
  2. Open the Grievance Portal tab.
  3. Click the + option to initiate a ticket.
  4. Select the appropriate query category.
  5. Clearly describe the issue.
  6. Upload supporting documents/screenshots where useful.
  7. Submit the grievance.
  8. Allow at least two working days for a response.

Candidates can upload up to three supporting documents with a grievance.

CAT Candidate Helpdesk

For registration, application or payment-related issues, candidates can also contact:

Toll-free: 1-800-210-0175

Timing: Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM, excluding national holidays.

Keep your CAT User ID and/or payment transaction number ready before contacting the helpdesk.

CAT 2026 Login: What Candidates Should Do Now

CAT 2026 registration is currently open and is scheduled to close on September 15, 2026, at 5 PM. Candidates who have already generated their CAT User ID should log in and complete the application well before the deadline.

Before logging out:

  • save every completed section;
  • verify your application details;
  • keep your User ID and password safely;
  • check the payment status after submission; and
  • download or retain the final submitted application for reference.

FAQs on CAT 2026 Login

Can I use my CAT 2025 User ID to login for CAT 2026?

No. CAT registration is cycle-specific. Candidates appearing for CAT 2026 need credentials generated through the CAT 2026 registration process rather than relying on an older CAT account.

I know my CAT User ID but forgot only the password. Can I recover just the password?

Use the Forgot User ID/Password facility on the CAT candidate login page. The recovery process sends the relevant login credentials to the registered email address, so you do not need to create a second application merely because the password is lost.

Why am I not receiving the CAT password recovery email?

First confirm that you are entering the same email address used during CAT 2026 registration. Also check spam/junk folders and wait briefly for delivery. If the recovery message still does not arrive and you cannot access your account, use the CAT Candidate Helpdesk/grievance route.

Can I change my registered email ID from the CAT login dashboard?

The email ID entered during initial CAT registration is a core account detail and should be entered carefully. Candidates should not assume that it can be freely changed from the dashboard after registration.

Will the CAT 2026 login remain useful after registration closes?

Yes. Candidates should preserve their login credentials because candidate access continues to be relevant during later stages of the CAT cycle, including admit-card and result-related access.
